Events advertised on WisEvents must meet the following criteria:
- Events must take place within the state of Wisconsin
- Nationwide tours, concerts or events can only be listed if the event has a Wisconsin performance date
- Content or materials prohibited on WisEvents include, but are not limited
to:
- Content that endorses harassment, discrimination, racism, bigotry, hatred or physical harm of any kind against any group or individual
- Content promoting illegal activities or conduct that is abusive, threatening, obscene, defamatory or libelous
- Illegal, pirated or unauthorized copies of another person's copyrighted work
- Pornographic, indecent or sexually explicit material of any kind or events promoting sexually explicit activities
- "Spam" including unsolicited commercial mailings or posts and excessive, repetitious postings
- Events without specific dates, times or locations posted solely for commercial solicitation Unacceptable: Get a makeover any time, call Jane Doe for your free cosmetic consultation! Acceptable: Jane Doe will offer cosmetic consultations from 10:00 am - 1:00 pm at Family Fest in Ripon
- Events promoting MLM, "work at home" opportunities, click-through affiliate programs or pyramid schemes
